On the occasion of the presentation of the project JobAnimation.eu, already supported by the Lombardy Region in the year 2010, the conclusive phase of the first year of activity has been reached. On the 6th of July 2011, at the Sala Pirelli of the Lombardy Region, the conference entitled “The birth of a cartoon”. Authorship in animation film.”

The event is organised by JobAnimation.eu in collaboration with the Lombardy Region.
Other promoters of the event are Asifa Italia, Cartoon Italia and Cartoon Lombardia, respectively, the Association of Italian Producers, the National Association of Animated Films, the Association of Producers from Lombardy Region.

Animated productions represent the most qualified offer of television programmes and cinema for children.
JobAnimation.eu is the portal which hosts the European animation community and offers professionals the possibility to be recognised by companies and operators in the field, supporting producers in the search for quality content and new styles.
The valorisation of authorship in Animation cinema is one of JobAnimation.eu’s founding motives and its main objective.

Conceived as an open debate between its participants, the event will nonetheless give space to some of the case history of some projects that will help to focalise upon the problematic aspects and advantages of a good authorial framework.

The convention represents an important occasion for Italian and International animation, this theme being ground for debate within the cultural and industrial contexts of the field.

The conference will be attended by authors, companies, training institutes, Italian and European organisations and associations.
All professionals of the field are invited. Entry is free.
