1-10 August 2011 Stop Motion Animation Workshop
The international Stop Motion Animation Workshop in Budapest (Hungary) is meant to move your imagination and test your creativity. It is taking place this summer.
Participants from all over the world will be working together: various universities, different cultures joining to make fantastic stop motion animations and explore Hungary’s creative capital?
The workshop is open to animation students and professional animation artists as well. Applicants from the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia can apply for support of travel, accommodation and tuition fee. Applicants from V4 countries will be automatically shortlisted for support of travel, accommodation and tuition fee. The final selection will be made by the workshop committee and will be announced by email.

During the ten days of the Stop Motion Animation Workshop classes will focus on learning how to combine traditional hand- made puppet animation with digital technique, and various other stop motion animation techniques. Just like last year, participants will visit important Hungarian film studios and meet recognized Hungarian, Czech, Polish, and Slovakian animators. Of course, there will be free time with activities such as sightseeing, visiting exhibitions or a sneak-a-peek of the inner city nightlife.

Stop Motion Animation Workshop is organized by MOME line - design works in partnership with Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest, University of Arts in Poznan, Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, Academy of Arts Architecture and Design in Prague, and Brno University of Technology Faculty of Fine Arts. The program is supported by the International Visegrad Fund. The application deadline has been extended until the 24th of July (Sunday).
