EFA Master Class ANIMATION TODAY
APPLY NOW! EFA Master Class ANIMATION TODAY with Andreas Hykade and friends Ari Folman, Phil Mulloy, David OReilly and Izabela Plucinska

The EFA Master Class 2013 ANIMATION TODAY is dedicated to modern animation and will take place in Ludwigsburg, Germany, from 9 to 15 September. During one week, 16 creative European film professionals who work on animation film will form a team and create an animation film from the original idea to the completed film.
"People can come from any field, be it independent animation, games or commercial animation. They can work in various techniques, be it 2 D, 3 D, puppets or pixilation. The bigger the variety, the better!" - Andreas Hykade - The multi-disciplinary workshop in co-operation with the Institute of Animation, Visual Effects and Digital Postproduction is equally addressed to experienced European animation creators (screenwriters, directors, animation artists, designers, technical directors and producers) from the classic animation industry, those with a background in games, or the independent scene - all are welcome.

In a mixture of group sessions, screenings, case studies and lectures, but with a focus on hands-on exercises, the workshop will allow the participants to gain a profound knowledge of the creation of an animation film covering all stages of a classic animation production: idea, story, design, project bible, storyboard, animatic, layout, animation, scoring and exploitation.
Held by author, designer and director Andreas Hykade, the workshop will be accompanied by Ari Folman / Israel (WALTZ WITH BASHIR, THE CONGRESS), Phil Mulloy /UK (DEAD BUT NOT BURIED, INTOLERANCE Trilogy), David OReilly / Ireland (PLEASE SAY SOMETHING, THE EXTERNAL WORLD) and Izabela Plucinska / Poland (JAM SESSION, DARLING). who will share their individual approach to the respective "topic of the day".
