The Pôle Image Magelis supports the EMCA School
The EMCA School
(Ecole des Métiers du Cinéma d’Animation), based in Angoulême, aims at providing a complete technical education to everyone who wants to work in the animation industry
. One of the main tasks of the school is increasing the creative skills of each student.

EMCA has been created in 1999. It receives financial support from the European Social Fund and the Pôle Image Magelis
. The objective of EMCA is to prepare the practice of the animation business. The school program aims to bring students to a perfect mastery of digital and traditional tools specific to animation. Through the realization of short films, the school allows students to develop their sensitivity and creativity, encouraging their own expression.

The school also relies on the Pôle Image Magelis professional network through practical interventions and workshops for the exchange of know-how and experience feedback to go further in learning. In a context where access to employment is even more difficult, EMCA stimulates the creativity of its students, on the basis that the development of the artistic personality
can become a crucial asset.

Since 2010, the school is licensed for scholarship students; furthermore, the students in their third year can subscribe a professional contract in partnership with AFDAS, 1 year lasting, in several animation studios throughout France.

EMCA has received the ISO 9001 certification
(the international standard for Quality Management) for all of its courses.
