"Nefertine on the Nile": the new animated series by Graphilm
The Egyptian Museum feels younger with an injection of cartoon, thanks to “Nefertine on the Nile”, a new animated series addressed to preschool kids (5 – 6 years of age). The Foundation from Turin will contribute with scientific information on habits and customs from the ancient Egypt, to the development of the animated series (52 episodes of 11 minutes each) which the production company Graphilm, led by Maurizio Forestieri, author of "Totò Sapore" (2003, Lanterna Magica), is working at.

The main character of the series Nefertine, will "collaborate" in turn with the Museum at the opening of new expository spaces, with a clip showing how to behave properly during the Museum tours. The clip will be included in the video guides distributed with the admission ticket.

Taken from the book series “All'ombra delle piramidi” by Luisa Mattia and Janna Carioli and illustrated by Barbara Bongini (Lapis Ed.), "Nefertine on the Nile" tells the adventures of an Egyptian girl, her Micerina cat and her friends. In each episode new mysteries, pitfalls and challenges will be shown. The tv series has been presented at Cartoon Forum in Toulouse by Yolanda Hornman and Anna Lucia Pisanelli from Graphilm, disguised as Champollion-like explorers for the occasion.

For this production Graphilm reached an important partnership with Rai Fiction and the French company Cyber Group Studios, leader in the kids programmes production.
