23rd February 2018 Annecy Film Festival and Market 2018
The Annecy International Animation Film Festival will take place from 11th to 16th June.
Director Patrick Eveno announced some great news this year.

France Télévisions has become the official partner of the event, directly collaborating with both the Festival and the Mifa.
The CEO of France Télévisions, Delphine Ernotte, said that France Télévisions was very pleased to formalize their well-established relationship with this expanded partnership, and to show the international animation world their common challenges to the public audience.
In 2017 France Télévisions gave animation 5,800 hours of broadcasting time. The group screens over 50% French and European productions, which highlights the creativity and expertise of French studios.

Moreover, for the first time the MIFA will host a Creative Europe MEDIA umbrella stand, to enhance and distribute some European audiovisual contents.
It will cover more than 100 mt, emblematic of the European Commission’s determination to back the animated film industry.

The MIFA is also presenting some innovative features, such as the Market Screenings, the top place for producers, distributors and sellers to present professionals with their latest productions.
Another new feature comes with some sessions on books, called Shoot the Book Anim which will promote screen adaptations of French literary works.
A special showcase for professionals, the Demo Sessions, will push their works and technological solutions.

About the more than 8,000 videos seen in 2017, including projects and programmes uploaded by producers, a new virtual platform will make them available online for one year.
